@AGUGrizzlies: Nick’s Letter To @Reince Priebus

Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, recently sent out a fundraising letter to members of the GOP:

Nick,

As we head into the busy holiday season, we cannot forget the critical challenges facing our nation. Your help is crucial to ensure that Washington keeps its promises to reduce the debt, keep taxes low, and create an environment for job growth. We can’t let up now. There’s too much at stake this month and in 2013 to sit on the sidelines – join us and donate today.

www.gop.com/donate

Best,

Reince Priebus

Nick Ahlborn is a member of AGU-CA and a small business owner. Like many common sense fiscal Conservatives, Nick is frustrated with the current state of the GOP. Were they lying during the recent election cycle or are they lying now?

As Governor Sarah Palin recently said:

We send good conservatives to D.C. to fulfill the promises they made to the electorate, and yet when they stay true to their word the permanent political class in their own party punishes them. – Sarah Palin

The fundraising letter that Mr. Priebus sent didn’t sit well with Nick. Instead of ignoring it or deleting it, Nick decided to take the time to write a note back to the RNC.

Here is Nick’s reply to the Chairman of the RNC:

Reince,

I understand your concerns, some of which you list. I’ll share mine with you. You state that “Washington” must be held to “keep its promises”. I agree we need to “keep taxes low”. Sad to say, the GOP Speaker of the House doesn’t agree. He’s willing to raise income taxes by nearly a trillion dollars on small business entrepreneurs like myself. He said so. To him, such people are “rich”, so they need to be penalized for their success. And do I hear a word out of the RNC about how preposterous that is? No.

Under attack by the GOP House Leadership are four Congressmen who were stripped of their committee assignments. Apparently among their “crimes” was having voted against the “Ryan Budget”, that congressional legislation which makes the claim the nation will reach a balanced budget by…2040. That Republicans hail a bunch of pages of legislation can predict what such pages of legislation will achieve 28 years from now is absurd. Congress has no idea what will happen 28 days from now, much less 28 years from now. Even more revolting is the sheer ruthlessness the GOP House Leadership has shown these elected representatives in their own party. There are more than a few of us out here wondering how they can show such ruthlessness toward Conservative Republicans, yet cower in fear and run to beg for deals from every Democrat they can find. We’re left puzzled how much more support they would have from their own party if the GOP Leadership would treat Democrats the same way they treated these four Conservatives. Has the RNC come out and defended these four Congressmen for supporting smaller government and a balanced budget amendment? No.

The GOP today is not the GOP of Reagan, Goldwater, or of any other proponent of Constitutional Conservatism and limited government. It’s the Progressive Republican Party now, filled with lovers of big spending of taxpayer’s money to entrench their own political eternity – whether they’re in the majority or not. There’s virtually no difference in the philosophy of the GOP and the Democrat Party today. The Democrats want $1.6 trillion in tax increases, and the GOP House Leadership salivate at the chance to offer half that amount, thinking this is a “win on points” and a desirable outcome. It used to be that the GOP defended the rights of INDIVIDUALS to succeed as far as their talents would carry them, and that they should keep as much of the fruits of their success as they could. Today the GOP joins in with the premise – and the language – of the left’s “Collective Responsibility” and “Shared Sacrifice” claptrap. Today’s GOP insists that success is to be punished by the power of Congress to expropriate the earnings of the successful via taxation. Your RNC really offers no real contrast to the Democrats of today. They want to put pedal-to-the-metal and arrive at Socialism as fast as they can. Today’s GOP seeks only to get to the same Socialist destination more slowly using a proscribed speed limit. If the GOP or the RNC cannot – or will not – openly defend against the historically proven inexorable failure collectivism always leads to, then there’s really no use for either of your organizations.

You won’t be getting any money from me. Today’s Republican Party consists now of what were once yesterday’s Democrats – that’s what passes for GOP Congressional Leadership now. Conservatives like me aren’t welcome – as evidenced by representatives like Justin Amash, Dave Schweikert, and Tim Huelskamp.

Good luck for your fundraising. You’ll need it.

C’mon Now, GOP, Don’t Go Wobbly on Us

Former Alaska Governor Palin today posted this Note on Facebook:

Please read and pass along this article. We send good conservatives to D.C. to fulfill the promises they made to the electorate, and yet when they stay true to their word the permanent political class in their own party punishes them. This won't be forgotten come 2014. Right now the GOP establishment is more concerned about the opinion of the media and the Georgetown cocktail circuit than they are “we the people” who hired them. For all this new talk of how the GOP needs a “populist movement,” it would do them good to remember they already have one; it’s called the Tea Party movement, and it won for them the majority they now enjoy in the House.

@AGUGrizzlies: Happy Thanksgiving From American Grizzlies United

We do not know the exact date of the first American Thanksgiving celebration, but we can be certain that this cherished custom is founded in our Judeo-Christian heritage.

After the battle of a long and difficult winter, the Pilgrims gathered with their new found Indian friends who had taught them so much about survival in the new land. Together, they gathered to celebrate, pray, and give thanks for the abundant harvest God had blessed them with.

Today we have much more to be truly thankful for than our Pilgrim mothers and fathers did. Americans are appreciative not only for our many blessings, but also for the boldness and fortitude of our Pilgrim predecessors. We can learn a lot from the fearless and courageous actions of the Pilgrims. It was their determination and backbone, guided by faith, that enabled them to get through the tough times. Our heroic Pilgrim predecessors forged ahead and fought together during a difficult period. They remained patient, unafraid, and perseverant through a dark perilous hour in America.

As we gather to celebrate with family and friends on this Thanksgiving, lets remember the full meaning of the day. This reflection can help us recommit the devotion to God and family that has played such a fundamental role in the making of this great country, and will be a much needed source of security and strength as we fight to remain a great people.

Happy Thanksgiving.

American Grizzlies Launches Survey of Non-Romney Voters

When addressing Young Americans for Freedom in 1975, former President Ronald Wilson Reagan said,

“Some have suggested that the 1974 election — the disastrous results — were an indictment of what we stand for. Well, may I suggest that the meaning of the last election will not be found among those who voted. It will be found in my polling those who stayed home — the biggest non-voter bloc in our nation’s history. And why did they stay home?”

It is well-known that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan got 2.3 million less votes than John McCain and Sarah Palin did in 2008. Pundits have speculated about the reasons why, but there is no hard data to support their assertions.

This survey is an attempt to arrive at the truth of why these 2.3 million people either stayed home or abstained, chose existing third party candidates, or wrote in candidates. If you are among these voters, please take a few minutes to respond. You will not be asked to divulge any personal or contact information.

Our work continues…

@AGUGrizzlies: American Grizzlies United Candidates: 43 Wins!

AGU 2012 General Election Candidates = 63 Candidates, 43 Wins!

Congratulations to all the American Grizzlies United 2012 General Election Candidates!

Every single AGU candidate deserves to be commended for having the courage to take a stand for America, and for answering the call of duty. This was a particularly difficult election cycle to run in. Compared to the historic 2010 election cycle, enthusiasm was extremely low in 2012.

Yet by coming together, grassroots volunteers helped these candidates win. With all the finger pointing going on now with the #GOPe, about the unfortunate losses of many GOP candidates, there is one place where the finger of success can be pointed at…YOU!

Regular concerned Americans, without the help of political consultants, took matters into their own hands and decided to #WiseItUp. A coalition of ordinary people made phone calls, walked precincts, organized rallies, emailed, tweeted, and texted the electorate to bring victory to these candidates!

Here is a list of the AGU Candidates who won on election day 2012:

Renee Elmers NC-2 US House

It’s been a long election cycle and these victories are something to be proud of. Many people took time out of their lives and worked tirelessly for love of country, not money.

A special thanks to all the American Grizzlies United State Coordinators who rallied their ground teams to help these candidates. Thank you for your hard work. All of you have made a difference that will continue for generations to come. (And a very special Grizzly thank you to Kevin Scholla AGU-PA State Coordinator, and Ron Devito AGU-NY State Coordinator, for the time spent on researching the AGU loss/wins)

Before we know it the 2014 midterms will be here. Once again concerned Americans will rise and become the engaged citizenry America needs. Our republic will have sudden and relentless reform: One election cycle at a time.

Thank you for your hard work and congratulations to all the AGU candidates.

Our work continues.

Don’t Lose Heart

Former Alaska Governor Palin today posted this Note on Facebook:

America, don’t lose heart. This election is not an “Obama mandate,” nor is it a rejection of conservatism. Unanswered ads like this one running in blue collar swing states defined Romney early on, and the Obama media also piled on with the narrative that Romney would harm the middle class. (As I personally have witnessed, once a bell is rung by a biased media, it’s impossible to un-ring it.) Ironically, it’s Obama’s socialist policies that will destroy America’s working class as he outsources opportunities.

Hang in there, America. Fight for what is right. Don’t look to government or any politician to solve your problems. Government can’t make you happy, healthy, wealthy or wise. Obama is a master at reading the right “soaring” words fed into his teleprompter, but actions speak louder than words. So, hold tight to 2 Corinthians 4:8 because we’re in for a wild ride.

We must survive. United. One nation under God.

"We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed." – 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.

@AGUGrizzlies: Vote Against The @BarackObama Agenda Tomorrow

It’s been a long four years. Election Day is finally here. The turning point for our country is upon us. As Americans we have a sacred duty to vote and protect our country. Tomorrow can be the beginning of greatness, the beginning of real change, and the beginning of real action.

The black cloud hanging over America can be lifted. But it can only be lifted by us. Our votes tomorrow have the power to restore American greatness.

We are not better off than we were four years ago. The Obama agenda has left us less solvent, less secure, and less confident in our future. But we have learned many things these last four years.

The most important lesson we have learned these last four years is: When concerned grassroots Americans come together, the grassroots win. In 2010 concerned Americans came together to send new public servants to DC and to local governments. By working together, we sent new Congresswomen and new Congressmen to the House. We sent new Senators to the Senate. We seized power of 20 legislative Houses from Democrats across the country. We captured 125 State Senate seats. We snatched 550 seats in State Houses. By coming together we grabbed 675 seats across America.

Tomorrow we must come together again. Tomorrow is our chance.

Tomorrow we have a chance and a duty to begin the restoration of common sense in DC. Tomorrow we have a chance to elect a new president and a new congress, who will cut wasteful spending, put America on the road to a balanced budget, and bring true leadership to get us out of this economic mess.

We need a strong America with real recovery.

All of this lies in our hands.

This Tuesday our country’s future is in our hands….

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

This Tuesday our country’s future is in our hands.

What’s past is prologue. We know what we will get from a second Obama term because we’ve all endured his first term. We know how well he kept his 2008 campaign promises. Do we really believe he’ll keep his 2012 promises?

Do we believe the word of a man who promised he wouldn’t raise taxes on the middle class, but then slammed the middle class with a massive tax hike in the form of Obamacare (and don’t forget that his own lawyers argued before the Supreme Court that the individual mandate is a tax)?

Do we really believe he won’t raise taxes even more on every American in order to pay for his wasteful spending and his crony capitalism?

Do we believe that the same president who increased the debt in his first term by more than all the first 41 presidents combined will suddenly decide to cut the deficit in his second term?

Do we believe that the president whose reckless spending led us to the first credit rating downgrade in our nation’s history will suddenly become a responsible fiscal manager if we reelect him?

Do we really believe that a president who promised us that job creation was his number one priority despite month after month of dismal job numbers now has a credible “plan” for the job growth that eluded him for the past four years?

Do we believe that the same president who shut down the Keystone Pipeline and blocks domestic oil and natural gas development at every turn is somehow going to reduce our dangerous dependence on foreign oil and lead us to energy independence?

Do we really believe that our country’s national security is safe in the hands of a president whose administration denied security and assistance to our consulate under attack on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on America, and then blamed that consulate attack and the death of our ambassador on a “spontaneous” protest over an obscure YouTube video despite all the real time evidence to the contrary?

Do we believe that a president who was caught on a hot mic telling the Russian president that he would have “more flexibility” after his reelection is being honest about his plans for a second term?

We know what we will get from a second Obama term. We will get the same failed policies. We will get Obamacare locked into law without any chance of undoing this dangerous legislation and any chance to seek real patient-centered health care reform. We will get a debt crisis. We will get more inflation and higher gas prices. We will get tax increases. We will get fewer jobs. We will get more small businesses collapsing under the weight of higher taxes and unfair regulation. We will get more corruption and crony capitalism favoring the Obama administration’s friends. We will get less domestic energy development and increased dependence on terrorist sponsoring foreign regimes for our energy needs. We will get a “blame America first” foreign policy that bows to our enemies and snubs our friends like Israel and leaves America and the world less safe. We will get less opportunity and security for ourselves and for our children.

In 2008, Barack Obama promised to fundamentally transform America. And for all his failures and broken promises, that’s the one thing he has delivered on. He’s transformed us from a nation of hope to one of anxiety. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Tuesday is our chance to turn things around.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have offered a credible alternative to Barack Obama’s failed policies. Governor Romney understands how the free market works. His pro-growth economic policies will benefit all Americans. He has promised to move us toward energy independence, deficit reduction, and responsible entitlement reform that honors our commitment to our seniors and keeps faith with future generations. Governor Romney deserves a chance to lead. President Obama had his chance. He’s failed, and we can’t afford to go backwards.

We must also remember the many good Republican candidates who are running for the House and Senate this year. They deserve our support as well. If you are like me, you have watched these campaigns, learned about the candidates, and know where they stand despite the skewed lens of a partisan media bent on keeping liberal leadership in power. We saw the destruction a Democrat controlled White House, House, and Senate brought us after the 2008 election. Our country can’t afford that again. Your vote is the only safeguard against that happening.

On Tuesday, please vote for Governor Mitt Romney and the commonsense conservatives running for office in your states.

Voting is our duty and our right. We must never forget the immense sacrifices generations of Americans, including our brave men and women in uniform today, have made to give us this right. And we must never forget the duty we owe to generations of Americans yet to be born to exercise our right to vote prudently. The White House and control of the Senate is in the balance in this election, and every vote will count.

I firmly believe it is our responsibility to restore this country and secure the blessings of liberty and prosperity for our children, just as it was secured for us. This is our sacred duty to the past and to the future. We will succeed in this so help us God.

God bless you and God bless America.

With an Alaskan heart,

Sarah Palin

@AGUGrizzlies: Make Calls For @DebFischer2012 From Home

Deb Fischer has been personally endorsed by Governor Sarah Palin and is on the American Grizzlies United General Election Candidate List: HERE

It all started with a letter written before Nebraska’s GOP Primary. Deb Fischer wrote to Governor Palin:

I am writing to you as both a fan of your strong, conservative principles and as a fellow female Republican,” Fischer wrote to Palin. “I have watched your career with respect as you take on tough issues, all while raising a family and serving your great state. Your career has inspired me and so many other female politicians who believe principles should be above politics.” – Deb Fischer

Deb’s letter caught the eye of Governor Palin. This was her response:

We are happy to support you and have asked SarahPAC to send a financial contribution to your campaign” — the Palins are in your corner” – Sarah Palin

Deb Fischer is needed in the US Senate. Deb is running a grassroots campaign and needs our help to win on tuesday. Instead of sucking up to lobbyists, and cronies in the #GOPe, Deb is taking her message straight to the people.

These last few days are crucial for her victory. Below is some information on what kind of help is needed from us to make sure this common sense conservative is elected.

Make Calls From Home

Got free cell phone minutes? Put them to good use. To get started send an email to:

taylor.gage@gmail.com

Just let Taylor know that you are ready to help. Taylor will give you the instructions on how to make calls from your home.

Help In Nebraska

If you live in or near the Nebraska area there is a lot you can do to help during these last few days. Sign wavers are needed for election day itself, and door to door canvassing volunteers are needed now.

The Omaha and Lincoln Fischer 2012 offices have actual phone banks that you can volunteer in. Use the information below to find out how best you can help:

Lincoln Field Office

620 N. 48th St., Ste 103 Lincoln, NE 68504

Staff Contact: Jack Spray, 1st District Field Director

Phone: 402-805-4037 Email: jack@debfischer2012.com

Omaha Field Office

2819 S 125th Ave., Ste 362 Omaha, NE 68144

Staff Contact: Sarah Wellman, 2nd District Field Director

Phone: 402-658-1794 Email: swellman@debfischer2012.com

Because Deb Fischer is running a campaign the way all campaigns in America should be run she needs extra help with donations. As Governor Sarah Palin said yesterday:

Deb Fischer needs our help to win her crucial Senate race. Right now she is under attack in Nebraska from outside interest groups and Harry Reid’s Super PAC. Her liberal opponent, who’s spent the last decade living in Manhattan, has called in his old Washington colleagues to support his campaign. Washington fears commonsense leaders like Deb Fischer because she’s not going to Washington to consolidate her own power; she is going there to help return power to the people the way the Founders intended. Please follow the link below and join me in supporting Deb Fischer today. – Sarah Palin
To donate to Deb Fischer:

To learn more about Deb:

Deb Fischer

NE-US Senate

Website, Facebook, Twitter

Listen to AGU-PA State Coordinator Kevin Scholla interview Deb Fischer: HERE

As we move into the final phase of this election cycle we need all hands on deck to win. The gloves are coming off and now is our chance to get America back on the right track. Please join us in doing all you can to help send Deb Fischer to the US Senate!

Our work continues.
