Gov. Palin: Jason Smith for Missouri’s 8th Congressional District

sarah-facebook-o4p

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Jason Smith for Missouri’s 8th Congressional District

Jason has worked tirelessly to build on the foundation of his humble beginnings and is a responsible and respected leader in the Show Me State. In Washington DC, Jason will maintain that innate sense of his community and will bring his commonsense conservatism to the halls of Congress. Jason recognizes that government is the problem, not the solution. He will protect our 2nd Amendment rights and work to promote a culture of life. We must all work together to send Mr. Smith to Washington on June 4th.

Gov. Palin: Let the Light Shine

sarah-facebook-o4p

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Let the Light Shine

Today we learned that our government targeted and harassed conservative Americans who simply wanted to be involved in the national discussion. Is it any wonder why Americans are so distrustful of D.C.? I’m sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night.

So many Americans knew this was happening, but many felt defenseless and even helpless against a government that seems to roll along without accountability or sense of obligation to the people it’s supposed to serve. These Americans were mocked for being concerned about this, but now we see light shining on the truth, finally.

This IRS revelation is another step in the unraveling of the Obama administration’s self-proclaimed “hope and change.” Between the Benghazi cover-up and the IRS targeting Obama’s political opponents, we see the corruption at the heart of big government.

Americans should remember that this same corrupt IRS will be in charge of enforcing Obamacare. And this same inept and corrupt government will supposedly secure our now unsecured borders in advance of immigration reform and will implement a completely ethical and non-political IPAB panel to make life and death health care decisions for you and your family. Forgive me for not trusting these big government promises any more than I trust the White House’s latest Benghazi spin or the IRS’ fairness.

Despite all of this, I still believe that this “fundamental transformation of America” is temporary. This attempted transformation into a disheartened, weakened, unrecognizable nation is so far below anything Americans deserve. It becomes permanent only if we throw up our hands and surrender to the corruption and cover-ups.

We must demand more light shine on all that’s transpiring in D.C.’s self-absorbed bubble. On the IRS scandal, we must have accountability and a full investigation. On Benghazi, Speaker Boehner must create a Select Committee with full investigative and subpoena authority to get to the bottom of the cover-up. Keep the faith, friends.

Gov. Palin: Tomorrow’s hearings on Benghazi will define Obama Presidency

sarah-facebook-o4p

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Tomorrow’s hearings on Benghazi will define the Obama presidency if the truth is finally allowed to be told. I encourage everyone to tune in and hear the revelations that are long overdue. We’ll also see whether the president’s reliable lapdog cheerleaders in the media will continue to cover up for him and in so doing disgrace their profession. The following link is to something I posted way back on October 25th of last year asking questions that we should have had answers to long ago.

Sarah Palin
There are many questions about the Benghazi attack that Americans deserve answers to. It’s been too long an “investigation” and too tragic for the families of lost loved ones for the White House and its friends in the media to ignore these questions: — When and why did the YouTube trailer of the anti-Muhammad movie surface as any kind of credible reason for the attack? — Where is the proof that that video was linked to Benghazi? It’s a weak excuse to claim some supposed rumored link between Benghazi and the attacks on our embassy in Cairo. Benghazi was very different. “Spontaneous” protestors don’t come armed with rocket-propelled grenades. — What was the President’s response to the previous Benghazi embassy attacks in April and June? Why did officials ignore the requests for beefed up security to protect Americans after these attacks? — Why did the Obama Administration assume a YouTube video was the reason for the Benghazi attack but not all the evidence to the contrary from the postings and emails that circulated that night in real time as the attack took place and Americans were being killed? And why weren’t those emails disclosed until this week? — Why did the Obama administration spend our tax dollars to make and air television ads that ran in the Middle East apologizing for the YouTube video when they had so much credible evidence that it was nothing but a red herring? — How much did President Obama know about this? In an interview he gave to CBS News on September 12, President Obama alluded to the fact that the Benghazi attack was not—as his U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice and other officials were characterizing it—a “spontaneous” protest triggered by the Cairo embassy attack and the video. He told CBS News in that interview, “my suspicion is that there are folks involved in [the Benghazi attack] who were looking to target Americans from the start.” If he suspected this then why did he allow his administration to continue blaming the attack on the YouTube video? And why didn’t CBS News call him out on this when his comments in their interview with him, which they didn’t air until a month later, belie the administration’s YouTube narrative? Someone in the media must demand answers. Until the media does its job to give us the Who What Where When and Why of this cover-up, there will be even less trust for this “cornerstone of our democracy” – if less trust and respect for the media is even possible today. We sincerely want to be able to trust the media. We need to be able to trust them. Their job is so important, and we appreciate all the good journalists in America. Our troops fight to protect all our freedoms including the freedom of the press. — Sarah Palin

Gov. Palin: Taxed Enough Already?

sarah-facebook-o4p

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Taxed Enough Already?

This new tax increase – the internet sales tax – must be stopped in the House. The Senate just passed it, and many Senators want to justify their tax increase vote by claiming that it will somehow “level the playing field” for brick and mortar retailers. This isn’t legit.

This is actually a boon to the big online powerhouses like Amazon who can afford the insane paperwork that comes with complying with government’s newest tax. The smaller mid-size online operations and smaller brick and mortar businesses, many family-owned with small staffs, who want to have larger online presences will be swamped with the regulatory paperwork of complying with the tax requirements for all these different states.

This new internet tax is not only another barrier to entry for smaller online start-ups, it’s a disincentive to grow a company. This will hit these smaller companies right where their margin of profit is, which means that this will cost jobs because when businesses lose profitability, they lay off workers or shut down.

Did Republicans who voted for this new tax on businesses forget that it will trickle down to consumers in this dangerously weak economic era? And when smaller and mid-size operations are pushed out of business, we have less competition and fewer choices in the marketplace.

Here’s an example: say you want to order Runner’s World’s re-release of Dr. George Sheehan’s book “Running and Being.” I just ordered it. You could get it at Amazon, and they’d have no problem calculating the minutia of sales tax regulations for your state because they have a boatload of employees (and lobbyists) to deal with this burden, but their base price for the book might be higher than the smaller online business competing with them. But thanks to this new internet sales tax, that smaller business will now have a whole new burdensome level of stifling government bureaucracy over their heads as they scramble to comply with various states’ sales tax rules and rates. And when this smaller business goes out of business because they can no longer make a profit, someone will lose his or her job and you will be left with fewer options when you go shopping for a better price online. Amazon doesn’t sweat it – in fact they support it.

Those “small government champions” of our middle class’s mom and pop businesses should ask themselves why they want to be any part of limiting the growth opportunities for smaller operations? More and more shopping is done online today, and every smart brick and mortar mom and pop wants to get in on that; and when they do, they should be allowed to produce by the sweat of their brow and ethically grow beyond being just a small online operation without worrying about a massive regulatory burden if they gross more than $1 million in sales in a year.

Bottom line: These anti-small business measures disincentivize the start-ups we need, and any measure to stick it to the consumer by increasing taxes for government growth is not what Republicans are supposed to fight for. I bet that once the tax increase is explained, your constituents won’t want you to contribute to government growth via increased internet taxes. And that’s what this is all about. House GOP, read your constituent’s lips: No New Taxes.

— Sarah Palin

P.S. I see that some are saying that a “positive” measure in this bill that the GOP Senators who voted for it liked is that it requires the government to provide “free” sales tax calculating software to all companies for compliance. Here’s a little newsflash: when it’s from the government, it’s not “free”! It’s being paid for by the very same people this new tax will hit in the pocketbook. That would be “We the People.”

Gov. Palin: How can we be divided on new taxes?

sarah-facebook-o4p

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

More new taxes?

How can we be divided on new taxes? In this horribly weak economy with an over-reaching, over-spending, anti-small-business government continually making the wrong decisions, Republicans can't even stay committed to "No New Taxes"?

Please step away from your Washington, DC bubble and get back in touch with the hard working people who sent you there. Read the planks in our party's platform and then read our lips. Learn from history or face repeating it: NO NEW TAXES.

Palin to NRA: ‘Our leaders are in it for themselves, not the American people’

Gov. Palin waves to crowd just prior to speaking at NRA Annual Meeting in Houston. (Adrees Latif/Reuters)

The National Rifle Association has been vilified by a slanted media. The law abiding, patriotic group has been painted as the bad guy on the heels of Sandy Hook and other acts of violence. Leftist politicians have lied about the NRA and they’ve exploited children every step of the way to create a false narrative. If any group needed a boost it is the NRA. Well, that boost came in a big way Friday afternoon in Texas, grizzly style. The NRA’s annual convention kicked off in Houston and Governor Sarah Palin, who has fought for our Second Amendment like no one else, addressed the massive crowd.

This year’s NRA theme is “Stand and Fight”. How appropriate. Governor Palin has stood her ground against the attacks and has fought for gun owners without wavering.

SarahNET Radio was on hand for Palin’s remarks which led of with a well received “We are fighting the fight!”.

“Leaders are in it for themselves not for the American people,” Palin said wearing a ‘Women Hunt’ T-shirt. “Emotion is not leadership.” Palin gave a voice to what commonsense citizens have been thinking.

Palin pointed out that the same media that buried George W. Bush serves as a cheerleader for Barack Obama, who according to Palin “wrote the book on exploiting tragedy.”

Along with Obama, Palin also called out Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and Dianne Feinstein for using unethical tactics. “It’s not just self serving,” Palin said. “It’s destructive and it must stop.”

Showing once again that she can use props to effectively deliver a message better than Carrot Top, Governor Palin whipped out a tin of smokeless tobacco when addressing the hypocrisy of New York City Mayor Bloomberg who wants it to be illegal to display legal tobacco products. The move was met with laughs and cheers, similar to the response the. Palin Big Gulp received at CPAC earlier this year. She joked that she swiped the dip from Todd. On Bloomberg Palin said he’s “bitterly clinging to the notion that government must control the people.”

Palin quoted John Adams and Maragert Thatcher and told the crowd we can learn lessons of freedom from them.

Things turned ultra-serious when Palin used the Kermit Gosnell case as an example of how sorely we lack integrity in the media. The Governor said there’s been nothing but silence while this “monstrous mass murderer” butched babies.

The battle for the Second Amendment is personal to Governor Palin. “This fight is about what kind of people we are,” Palin said. She added that she wants her son Trig to grow up in an exceptional country. The Second Amendment is a necessary component.

There’s no mistake about the heart and spirit of those who hold our Second Amendment dear. What drives Governor Palin is equally clear. “What keeps us reloading in this fight is the faces I see here today,” Palin said. “I love you guys.”

Governor Palin closed out her optimistic speech while those in attendance cheered and clapped. “Keep the faith,” Palin implored. “Stand up for our freedoms. God bless you all. God bless the United States of America”

Just weeks ago the liberal Toomey-Manchin gun control bill was shot down and then Friday, Sarah Palin assured us that we will continue to battle anyone who tries to pick apart our sacred right to bear arms. Great news for the NRA. Great news for liberty. Great news for America.

@StrongTea1776, @AGUGrizzlies Back @LisaGforNYC for NYC Council

agu-o4p-white-o4pstates

Richmond County Tea Party Patriots endorsed Lisa Giovinazzo for NYC City Council District 50 at a press conference on April 30 in Staten Island’s Von Briesen Park. American Grizzlies United announced its support of her candidacy immediately following the Tea Party Patriots’ announcement.

Bobby Zahn, President of the Richmond County Tea Party Patriots gave a Palinesque endorsement speech that lasted 3:12.

American Revolution Site Chosen for Announcement

DSC_0005

“We’re standing here today gathered near the gates of Fort Wadsworth, because this site played an important part in the American Revolution. It’s this patriotic spirit that inspired Tea Party groups like ours to organize in defense of our liberties — liberties that are under assault from career politicians who want to run our lives,” Zahn said. “Here in our own city — especially in our own city — the government has been captured by the idea that they can tell us what we can eat, what we can drink, what we can say and how to act. Up until now, there has not been a single strong voice in our legislature opposed.”

DSC_0009

“We have gone along to get a pothole repaired or to get our names on a trash can. As liberty-minded conservatives, we believe people know better than government how to run our own lives. This is why we favor citizen legislators over career politicians. Frankly, we were appalled by the next-in-line good-old-boy mentality that was being thrust upon us in an attempt to give us no choice but a career creature of the system,” he said.

DSC_0012

Peer of the Electorate, Not the Ruling Class

“Lisa Giovinazzo is not a bureaucrat jumping to the next title through seniority. She’s a private sector person — a peer of the electorate — not the ruling class. Lisa Giovinazzo says everything a conservative wants to hear, but that’s not really what’s important,” Zahn said. He continued, “what’s more important than what she says is her demonstrated willingness to stand up to the system — even to the elites in her own party who are trying to keep her down. Given this, there is no questioning Lisa Giovinazzo’s resolve to buck the system and City Hall — a system that most sane people recognize is woefully broken.”

Staten Island’s Sarah Palin?

“Of course, she arrives on the scene with an impeccable resume for a citizen legislator. She’s a mother, a wife, a former White House correspondent, a professor, a community activist, and a small business owner. So, she really understands us. This is who we are. These are the same things that we are.”

DSC_0017

“As I said, she’s appeared to those who she’s asking for their vote, not appeared to the political elite. She’s also a veteran in the trenches of electoral politics.”

DSC_0019

“For years, she’s been fighting for conservative principles by helping to elect Republicans to office. When the government stops answering to the people, we need to send regular people to the legislature to fix it, not a bureaucrat who already works there.”

DSC_0025

“There is no doubt in our view that Lisa Giovinazzo is the clear choice for conservative-minde Republican voters, and the citizen that we need in City Council. Therefore, we are very pleased to be here today with Lisa to declare our unwavering support,” Zahn said.

Giovinazzo Accepts Tea Party Patriots’ Endorsement

DSC_0026

“It is my pleasure to accept your endorsement. I think the Staten Island Tea Party Patriots are a wonderful group of people who share strong values and recognize our freedoms. I applaud the efforts of your party in particular — the people standing here — has been truly focused on the issues that are important, not just the issues that are popular, and I’m very grateful to have your support,” Giovinazzo said.

“I know that you’ll be an integral part of my campaign. Many of you have already volunteered, and supported me at the headquarters, walking in the streets, and I really look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better than I do already and I’m very, very thankful for your support,” she said.

DSC_0038

Tom Wrobleski of The Staten Island Advance covered the press conference and asked Zahn how Richmond County Tea Party Patriots will be supporting Giovinazzo. Zahn said a number of his members are already walking door-to-door and volunteering. He plans on holding a fund-raiser for her in his backyard and said the organization plans to give her any type of support she needs. Wrobleski also referred to AGU’s backing of Giovinazzo in his story.

Why we Have Two Tea Parties on Staten Island

DSC_0040

Wrobleski asked Zahn about formation of Richmond County Tea Party Patriots. As previously reported, “the Richmond Tea Party Patriots were formed out of dissatisfaction with the Staten Island Tea Party’s alliance with the local Republican Party establishment, and the performance of Congressman Michael Grimm who in the main has abandoned the conservative values he ran on. Rep. Grimm is, however, assisting Giovinazzo by walking door-to-door with her and his mentor, Guy Molinari is Giovinazzo’s campaign manager, which she disclosed to the group.”

“I don’t think we have a Staten Island Tea Party. That was long-gone, shut-down, shut-up and put out when Frank Santarpia took a job with Mr. Oddo, and he went against all principles of a Tea Party,” Lisa Mercaldo, a member of Tea Party Patriots said. Mercaldo also sits on the Republican Executive Committee and said she never even met Giovinazzo’s opponent Steve Matteo. “I don’t even know what the man looks like. We are supposed to vet the candidate, we are supposed to interview the candidate, and they are not doing that,” Mercaldo said about Sartapia who is a co-founder of the Staten Island Tea Party and an aide to City Councilman Oddo, who is running for Borough President. Giovinazzo and Matteo are vying for Oddo’s seat. As previously reported, Matteo declined a Richmond County Tea Party Patriots invitation to be publicly vetted.

“I don’t think it really would be a surprise who Frank Sartapia and the Staten Island Tea Party are backing. I mean, how could the guy go against his boss? How could he make a fair judgement and be able to even consider Lisa Giovinazzo,” Zahn aked.

Giovinazzo Challenges Opponent to Debates

DSC_0042

“I’ll say in that regard that everybody you know who is seeking elective office, who wants to be your representative, I once again am welcoming my opponent to a series of debates,” Giovinazzo said.

DSC_0044

“I think it’s important that the constituents of mid-Island see who we are and what we stand for,” she continued.

DSC_0045

“And I think it’s important that we see what we’re made of, so again, I am challenging him to a series of debates. I think it should take place as quickly as possible over the next couple of weeks, because this is a very important election,” Giovinazzo said.

AGU Announces its Support of Giovinazzo

lisag-devito-1

In announcing AGU’s support of of Giovinazzao, I said,

As NY State Coordinator for American Grizzlies United I am looking forward to the Lisa Giovinazzo campaign for New York City Council District 50, and getting the word out to AGU-NY’s volunteers about her candidacy. We are proud to support a candidate who understands the proper role of government and who offers Bold Colors – no Pale Pastels.

LisaG-devito-2

Both Richmond County Tea Party Patriots and AGU publicly vetted Giovinazzo last Thursday during a Richmond County Tea Party Patriots monthly meetup.

Our work continues.

Gov. Palin: Obama had better clear this up today

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

President Barack Obama had better clear this up today, right now. Surely he is just allowing his handlers to throw up this kind of ridiculous, amoral, un-American trial balloon. I call on Obama to address this immediately with the American public, clear it up, and renounce these reports as the nonsense they surely in God's name must be.

Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Tell @Netflix to #FU (Finally Unsubscribe)

AGU-O4P
NOTE: This post was created by AGU-TX Coordinator Michelle McCormick and was originally published on Conservatives4Palin.
Netflix

Last night, the Mook who runs Netflix’s Twitter account decided to commit a PR faux pas and delve into the pool of political Twitter games. He or she also ran afoul of Goodwin’s Law. Stacy Drake posted Twitchy’s round up and the very harsh reactions of folks who, for some inexplicable reason, do not take kindly to being compared to Nazis.
Imagine that.
Some of you may remember that 2011 was an annus horribilis for Netflix. It made one bad decision after another and it resulted in 800,000 subscribers jumping ship. Myself included. I don’t mind a company trying new things. I do mind however, asshattery in the execution and the results being even poorer service. After this latest asshattery, why would anyone consider giving this company her money?
If you haven’t cancelled your subscription to Netflix already, allow me to remind you why you should hit that F U button now: FINALLY UNSUBSCRIBE
