@DrGinaLoudon Show: @AGUGrizzlies TX Coord Defends Gov Palin’s Grassroots Interactions

Michelle McCormick, Texas State Coordinator, American Grizzlies United / Organize4 Palin yesterday defended former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s interactions with the grassroots on the Dr. Gina show in a 15-minute segment. The interview followed on the heels of McCormick’s written response to Scottie Hughes’ infamous meltdown over not getting an interview and / or meet and greet with Gov. Palin. Hughes was on the show prior to discuss her position on the issue.

Hughes — a CPAC Organizer — Should Have Known Better

In her response, McCormick said,

“Well, I thought it was a rude and incredibly immature thing to write. Everybody has to understand that Gov. Palin is an incredibly busy lady. I mean, you’re a mom, you can appreciate, she’s got kid’s schedules to worry about, and so just on that surface, she needs to understand that Gov. Palin can’t be everywhere and meet with everyone. I understand her being upset about that, maybe a little frustrated, but the way that she expressed those feelings I thought was incredibly immature, and flat-out rude and inaccurate and that’s basically what it all came down to. That’s just not how the whole CPAC stuff went down, and she should know better, because from what I can tell she was an organizer with CPAC, and so I’m not sure where this anger from her is coming from.”

Gov. Palin One of the Most Humble People in Politics….

Dr. Gina said she had met Gov. Palin many times, often backstage, but she never was able to get the elusive media interview with her, though she has chased after her and begged people with connections. Of course, access to political figures or lack thereof, has been a complaint among journalists since time immemorial.

“I certainly am not privy to Gov. Palin’s schedule, but from what I have experienced doing events with her teams and I know you’ve seen this too, her schedule is just so tight plus the fact that anytime she goes somewhere, she’s completely mobbed by people. I know, and you know this as well — she is one of the most humble people in politics, and she is such a team player that I would imagine that any disruption caused by her presence — I’m sure she would just want to avoid that, so it really is difficult it appears to me with her travel schedule to do things — I’m sure along the way she can fulfill media requests. Tony Lee pointed out in his Breitbart article — that one of the first interviews she gave after separating with Fox was with Breitbart News.”

Can’t Get Enough of Gov. Palin….

Dr. Gina asked, “we know Gov. Palin is super-accessible. Is it just that we want more of her?”

“Oh yeah, that’s what it comes down to,” McCormick replied. “You know…her staff are some of the most professional, kind people I’ve ever run across in my very brief time in doing this with politics. I know that in Iowa, there were staffers for other candidates who were not very friendly at all. With Gov. Palin’s team, they are incredibly polite, they are professional, and they do make time for Gov. Palin to go and meet with folks — and you saw from the various pictures that came out of CPAC. She was hugging people and taking pictures and I’ll speak for myself. I’m truly a nobody in all this and she had a few words with me and it’s great. She is so appreciative of everyone’s support and all the work that they do who are ultimately just out for the cause. She sees that and she is very supportive and appreciative of that.

Shedding Light on Experiences with Team Palin….

Dr. Gina said McCormick is not a “nobody,” adding that grassroots organizer are the most powerful people in politics, because they can effectuate change. She said McCormick is worth any political figure’s time. Dr. Gina said we should not have circular fire amongst ourselves and asked if “we could have a peace agreement” whereby Hughes likes Gov. Palin very much and just wanted an interview.

“Oh, sure. I didn’t want this to be a personal attack on Ms. Hughes. I think we tried to at least with Conservatives4Palin in our response. We just wanted to shed some light on on our experiences with Team Palin and they’ve been always wonderful and favorable and maybe a lot of it was disappointment that she chose to express herself in such a snarky manner. That’s unfortunate.”

It’s About the Movement, Principles, Not Gov. Palin

Dr. Gina asked, “Is there anything else you want to tell us, Michelle?”

“There are a lot of people who go unnamed — there are a lot of wonderful folks who go to Tea Party rallies, they block walk, they make phone calls, and they never ask for anything in return except for clean government and honest politicians and they see those qualities in Gov. Palin and they support her. That is why they do it. They don’t ask for any glory or any titles, so those are the people really we need to raise up and support and be thankful for, and the first person who definitely understands that and recognizes that is Gov. Palin, and that is why she has so much support behind her. It’s not about her. It’s about the movement and the principles and we definitely need to support people who think that way in politics.”

The segment featuring McCormick’s call-in begins 01:05:38 into the video. The segment with Hughes began at 00:16:31.

SarahNET Radio ReCaps CPAC 2013, Steelman on Servant Leadership

Sarah Palin and the gulp heard around the world! Today on The Palin Radio Update with Kevin Scholla, a look back at CPAC 2013. Governor Palin rocks the convention with a liberty-packed speech that identified our problems and mapped out the path to rebuilding our country. SarahNET Radio covered Palin’s speech live and today we recap the top moments. Also, have you done the Palin Liberty Pose yet? Learn how to stand up for liberty and have a little fun at the same time. Plus, a St. Patrick’s Day message from Alaska and The Bible series rolls on. Steel Resolve, our weekly commentary with Sarah Steelman is also featured. Steelman offers her thoughts on Pope Francis.

CPAC 2013 Recap

Kevin Scholla was on location at CPAC “for every word of Gov. Palin’s speech” and filed his dispatch less than one hour after former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin raised her Big Gulp — in what became the #PalinLibertyPose — and victoriously left the stage. Scholla interspersed audio clips of key moments as he narrated his account.

Unforgettable Key Moments

Gov. Palin received her scheduled introduction from Chris Cox, Executive Director, National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action, but Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s unscheduled second introduction was truly special. Sen. Cruz said he would not be where he was today if it were not for Gov. Palin. He said Gov. Palin makes the leftist media “bat-crap” crazy.

From the moment Gov. Palin walked on the stage, her speech was a succession of non-stop unforgettable moments, and Scholla recounted them all starting with “that fork made me fat,” to illustrate the ridiculousness of gun control. She said background check would be a dandy idea — starting with Obama’s. She welcomed the left-wing media and called them out. “We’re not here to rebrand a party. We’re here to rebuild a country,” Gov. Palin said. That quote became the rallying cry of SarahPAC’s latest fund-raiser. “She said Obama is considered a good politician, which is like saying ‘Bernie Madoff was a good salesman,’” Scholla said in his dispatch and on the show. She highlighted the high prices of common household goods and said, “Obama, you lie!” followed by, “step away from the teleprompter and do your job!”

“Gov. Palin mentioned Margaret Thatcher multiple times in her speech and encouraged Americans to keep faith. She defended our Constitution and our Second Amendment,” Scholla said. “Todd’s got the rifle, I’ve got the rack,” Gov. Palin said referencing a Christmas gift exchange between them.

The Gulp Heard Around the World

Then, came the gulp heard around the world. Gov. Palin casually reached to a shelf in the lectern for what appeared to be a standard bottle of water. The audience cheered wildly when a Big Gulp filled with cola appeared and Gov. Palin took a long sip through the straw. It was “a clear shot at Mike “Nanny” Bloomberg and his failed attempt to ban large sugary drinks in New York City,” Scholla said. With Big Gulp in hand, Gov. Palin advised College Republicans to “think Sam Adams, not drink Sam Adams.” She released a variant of that quote in a St. Patrick’s Day Tweet the following day.

Gov. Palin called upon conservatives to reach out to all Americans, Scholla recounted. “We don’t have Hispanic issues, African-American issues, or Women’s issues. We only have American issues,” Gov. Palin said. Gov. Palin called upon conservatives to run for office. She said we don’t need any more “architects,” a clear reference to Karl Rove, and establishment elitists beholden to the lobbyists. She spoke about drones and blasted Obama for shutting down White House tours.

“If we have faith in We the People,” Gov. Palin told the crowd we will save our country. Gov. Palin concluded her speech by holding her Big Gulp high in her right hand mimicking Lady Liberty, giving birth to the #PalinLibertyPose, which supplanted both #Tebowing and #Eastwooding. The #PalinLibertyPose even has its own website now: http://palinlibertypose.com

As usual Gov. Palin spoke with passion, common sense, humor, and patriotism,” Scholla concluded.

Pope Francis, American Politicians, and Servant Leadership

“God works in mysterious ways,” Sarah Steelman said as she opened her Steel Resolve segment. “We all know there’s a lack of leadership in Washington and many of those elected no longer understand how to be a servant leader. Isn’t it refreshing that within 24 hours of the papal selection of Pope Francis the world saw that this was a different kind of leader by his own conduct alone?”

She continued, “he humbly asked for the people to pray for him. He rode the bus with his fellow cardinals, choosing not to treat himself differently. He tried to pay his own hotel bill. On Sunday he reached out to people instead of just waving from afar. He went to them.” Steelman continued, “Clearly, he has focused on following the teachings of Jesus instead of the usual pomp and circumstance that seems to cloak most leaders today. He is choosing to follow Christ’s example of servant leadership. His simple actions that may seem meaningless to some are exactly the actions that our leaders in Washington should try.”

“All of us should use that example but perhaps God’s divine hand will use Pope Francis to show our political leaders the kind of leadership that really changes the world,” Steelman concluded.

Refresher: Sarah Palin’s Leadership Style

Kevin Scholla narrated this slide presentation delineating the characteristics of Gov. Palin’s Transformational and Servant Leadership. Since Sarah Steelman devoted her entire segment to the Servant Leadership traits of Pope Francis, a refresher on the same traits in Gov. Palin is apropos.

@AGUGrizzlies: via @WhitneyPitcher Obama’s #Immigration Speech Cost Taxpayers $527 / Word

@AGUGrizzlies: via @WhitneyPitcher Obama’s #Immigration Speech Cost Taxpayers $527 / Word

NOTE: This post was written by AGU-IL State Coordinator Whitney Pitcher and originally published on Little Blog on The Prairie.

Yesterday, a study from the publicly funded University of Minnesota was released noting that Governor Sarah Palin was paid $15.85 per word during her time as a FoxNews contributor. Despite all of Governor Palin’s purported irrelevancy, this study generated stories at USA Today, the Washington Post, The New York Times, Yahoo! News, and Politico, among numerous other outlets.

Meanwhile, just today, President Obama flew from Washington D.C. to Las Vegas to give a speech on immigration reform. Per the Weekly Standard, his trip cost taxpayers a $1.6 million or $182,000 per hour of flight on Air Force One. According to the transcript at the Chicago Sun Times, President Obama’s immigration speech was 3,079 words and applause lines, meaning that President Obama’s speech cost the taxpayers just under $520 per word and applause. Including the applause lines is being generous to the President, as if those weren’t included, his speech would have cost taxpayers $527 per word. The transcript also notes that President Obama’s speech lasted 25 minutes. Using 2012 spending levels as a reference, the federal government spent $170 million during the President’s speech, at a rate of roughly $6.8 million per minute.

Those numbers won’t be found outside of the conservative blogosphere, however. The legacy media are more concerned with how much money a woman, who currently does hold publicly office made for appearing a privately owned television station, than they are with how much money the President’s junkets and astronomical spending are costing the taxpayers.

@AGUGrizzlies: A Time For Reflection; Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur is a thoughtful, somber, and meaningful Jewish holy day. It is a time for contemplation and pensive observation. As our Jewish friends humbly engage in atonement, let’s all reflect upon the eternal American intention to boost justice, good will, peace, and liberty.

Tomorrow a speech will be given at the United Nations General Assembly. The speech will be brimming with disgusting anti-Semitic hyperbole. The shameful spectacle will be in front of an organization whose own charter suggests that world peace is only possible through kinship, co-operation, and a sympathetic meeting of minds.

The grim irony alone, during this holy season, provides an opportunity for all of us to reflect upon the kind of leaders we choose to represent our country. As people of all faiths spend time in meditation and prayer let’s contemplate the direction America is heading and who is leading it in that direction.

God bless our Jewish friends, God bless our Judeo-Christian foundation, God bless Israel, and God bless America.

Thomas Schmitz, AGU: Real Change Requires We Help Elect Wise Congress

Thomas Schmitz, Chairman of the Board, American Grizzlies United (AGU) last Saturday said “real change requires that we help elect a wise congress” at the Wake Up America Tea Party Rally held in El Cajon, CA.

Following is the complete text transcript and video of that speech:

Good Afternoon San Diego East County Tea Party! Thank You!

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. This opportunity, this lucky chance, to be here today in San Diego, and to speak to other concerned citizens.

I was born and raised here in San Diego. I was born at Sharp Hospital, I went to Sunset View Elementary just west of here in Sunset Cliffs, I briefly attended Collier Junior High in Point Loma, but then my real foundation, my rock, came from Santa Fe Christian Academy just North of here in Solana Beach.

Then about 16 years ago I moved to Los Angeles. And now I live in Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood foothills.

Schmitz on Why are we here today?

So why am I here today?

Why are we all here today?

All of us, every single one of us here today, we chose to be here today, we chose to take the time out of our busy work schedules, our busy lives, and our devoted time that we spend with our families, children, and friends.

We all chose to spend our time here today…instead of spending our time earning those extra dollars we need these days to buy groceries.

Those extra dollars we need these days to pay our sky rocketing energy bills.

Those extra dollars we need these days to pay the cell phone bill.

Or those extra dollars many families need this time of year to buy that cheerleader uniform or that football uniform.

Or that extra time needed to look over homework.

To help with that book report, that Spelling Bee, that science fair project

Or maybe even that special grandmother or grandfather time that could have been spent at Sea World…or at the San Diego Zoo.

No, we all chose to spend our time here today…Why did we choose to be here today?

Well, I can tell you why I chose to be here today. I chose to be here today because I am very concerned about our countrySomething is wrong in America.

I think it is safe to say we are ALL very-concerned-citizens and we all know that something is terribly wrong in America.

We all know this, we can feel it. Something is terribly-terribly wrong in America.

Something is wrong in our country.

Something is wrong with our country’s leadership (or…in many cases, lack of leadership), and we are all very concerned about where our Republic is headed.

We are all, very concerned about this administration, very concerned about these…sort of… unhallowed times we are living in.

And we are all very concerned about this president, and what this president and his followers are doing to us.

And let’s be frank; it is what they are doing to us…It is certainly not what they are doing for us.

But thank God- thank God that we live in America.

We do have many things to be thankful for in America.

This country…this…one nation under God, continues to bless us in so many ways.

We are blessed to have the honor, and the privilege to come together today.

We are blessed to have the freedom to speak.

The freedom to peacefully assemble.

The freedom to come together.

And the freedom to talk to other concerned citizens, and try to figure out what the heck we’re gonna do about this mess and how the heck are we gonna turn this ship around and get America back on the right track.

The first thing we need to remember is that it is not gonna be enough to just switch a D with an R in the white house and expect any real change.

Schmitz on Reform

Real change requires a sudden reform, a relentless reform.

And real reform begins with our Congress, and who we choose to send to Washington DC, and who we choose to represent us.

To fix this mess, we need a wise congress.

We need a wise congress full of independent, common-sense; fiscally conservative public servants who are ready to work for us.

Schmitz on Candidates

We’ve heard from a lot of great candidates today…and I think we should take a moment to thank them for taking a stand.

Thank them for their willingness to serve.

Thank them for their readiness to make the tough decisions.

And applaud them for the sacrifices they are preparing to make.

Thank you candidates!

These candidates have pledged to have our back once elected.

These down ballot candidates have pledged to the electorate that once we hire them, they won’t go along to get along, and they won’t kick the can down the road.

Instead, they will roll up their sleeves, and they will get to work.

With our help, they will work to restore America, they will: WISE IT UP!

Going into this election cycle we’ve got some work to do — A whole lot of work.

These candidates need our help.

These candidates have pledged to help get government off our back.

Schmitz on the Media

So, during this campaign season: Let’s have their back!

We have to work hard to fight the smears these candidates are going to battle.

We have to work hard to help these candidates get their message out to the electorate, through the filter of a biased, a deceptive, and a forked-tongued-agenda-driven media.

Our army of David’s must battle the Goliath of Big Government and their personal lap-dogs in the media.

The Democrat Media Complex and the biased-lame-stream-media will do everything they can to distract, to distort, and to deceive.

They will work double time to paint these good, these honest, and these bold public servants as crazy – as stupid — as dangerous — as out of touch – as homophobic — as racist – as cold hearted – and as mean.

They will.

They will pull out every deception and distraction they have.

Crisis will be created where there is absolutely no crisis whatsoever, and controversy will be created where it does not exist.

Do not be distracted. Do not let them win.

We have to help our candidate’s message be heard. It is the right message for such a time as this.

We have to circumvent the agenda driven media and take our candidates message, our message, straight to the people.

Straight to electorate. And we do that by getting involved.

We get involved by donating our time to these candidates.

We get involved by talking to our friends, our families, our co-workers, and our communities.

We get involved with the use of social media and use it to pull the rug out from under the other side.

Schmitz on 2010

We get involved by coming together to finish what we started in 2010.

In the 2010 election cycle millions of regular, ordinary Americans like us came together to form a movement.

Across the country, everyday Americans took a stand and spoke out against this president’s fundamental transformation of America.

By-working-together, we sent new Congresswomen and new Congressmen to the United States House of Representatives.

We sent new Senators to the United States Senate.

We seized power of 20 legislative Houses from Democrats across the country.

We captured 125 State Senate seats.

We snatched 550 seats in State Houses.

We achieved an absolute…all-out…unmitigated…675 seats across this great land!

Schmitz on 2012

And Now, now it is 2012. Our chance to continue the mission and finish the job is finally here!

Let’s just say we have some unfinished business to do.

The great American awakening of 2010 was just the beginning.

The coalitions that we formed two years ago still have work to do.

We must never surrender to the opposition.

And gals and guys, It’s gonna get ugly.

The radical left will do everything they can to distract from this president’s failed policies.

The radical left is ready to fight against and try to prevent honest public servants like these candidates from going to Washington to shake things up and put government back on the side of the people.

In the next 60 days, the Goliath Media and their Hollywood lapdogs will fight tooth and nail against hardworking, patriotic, independent Americans to divert attention from the message of these good candidates and the epic failures of this president and his policies.

The Hope and Change of 2008 has been exposed. The gig is up. The mask is off, the horns are out, and the Hoax and Chains can no longer be concealed and shrouded.

It’s 2012 and Americans can feel and see the fundamental transformation of our Republic. It’s very easy to see. Its right before very our eyes, it’s very black and white.

And with all due respect to the OFFICE of the president:

We don’t like it, we don’t want it, and we-won’t-comply.

Please join our cause.

We really need all hands on deck this November to pull this off.

Every single one of us is the soul of this movement.

All of us are the future of our country.

The challenges before us will seem intimidating and will seem overwhelming at times.

But we must move forward, we must turn this ship around. We do have a choice.

This ground up call to action that brought us here today will change both parties in America forever.

Real people like us, not inside the beltway professionals, are the solution and future of our country.

The future is nowPlease take a standplease answer the call.

Let’s work together to finish what we started in 2010 and lets work together to send our new president a new wise congress to fundamentally-restore-America.

Thank you so much for having me today and thank you so much for all the work you are about to do. God Bless you San Diego and God Bless America!
