Gov Palin: Our thoughts and prayers go out to family, friends of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and many friends of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle tonight. Todd and I first met Chris in Pella, Iowa, when he helped out with security for the premiere of the film “The Undefeated.” And later we became friends with Chris when he was on “Stars Earn Stripes” with Todd. Chris was a wonderful man, a good friend, and a true American hero who loved our country and served honorably. He was loved and admired by so many, and he will never be forgotten.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today posted this Status Update on Facebook:

Palin: ‘We Haven’t Yet Begun to Fight!’—Exclusive Interview with Breitbart News
www.breitbart.com
In my research for the film I made on Governor Palin, The Undefeated, I was constantly amazed at the anti-establishment stands she took at every step in her rise to power. Moves that a conventional politician would run from, she embraced: in Wasilla, in Juneau, and in the rise of the Tea Party.

Retrieved from: http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin/posts/508289715890287.

Ed. Notes:

Following are salient points and quotes from Gov. Palin in this interview with Breitbart News:

Gov. Palin plans to jump out of her comfort zone and reach broader audiences, not merely preach to the choir. This is likely the basis of her decision to not renew her contract with Fox News.

“Focus on the 2014 election is also imperative. It’s going to be like 2010, but this time around we need to shake up the GOP machine.” She continued, “We’re not going to be able to advance the cause of limited constitutional government unless we deal with these big government enablers on our side. And this all ties into the problem of crony capitalism and the permanent political class in the Beltway. We need to consistently take them on election after election – ever vigilant.”

For her long-term future, Gov. Palin said, “the door is wide open.”

Gov. Palin said Obama’s first term was a very good predictor of his current one. About 2012 and lessons learned, she said, “Conservatism didn’t lose. A moderate Republican candidate lost after he was perceived to alienate working class Reagan Democrat and Independent voters who didn’t turn out for him as much as they did for the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008. Granted, those same voters also didn’t turn out for Obama as strongly either.

Gov. Palin continued, “we had an election defined by a biased media plus millions of voters who sat it out in disgust. As long as we allow the media and GOP establishment to tell us who our nominees must be, we can expect to lose. I’m not interested in losing. America’s next generation can’t afford another loss.”

In answer to a question on whether the Tea Party movement is dead, Gov. Palin responded, “I was raised to never retreat and to pick battles wisely, and all in due season. When it comes to defending our republic, we haven’t begun to fight! But we delight in those who underestimate us.”

AGU: Voter Bomb for @JamieRadtke (Please Forward)

Jamie Radtke is running for the United States Senate in Virginia and is on the AGU 2012 Primary Candidate List. Her primary is June 12, 2012.

You may remember Jamie from her appearance in The Undefeated.

Recently Jamie was interviewed by AGU-PA Coordinator Kevin Scholla on SarahNET Radio: HERE

Supporters of Jamie Radtke’s smaller, smarter government platform need your help in a Voter Bomb. Similar to a Money Bomb, a Voter Bomb is designed to quickly get the word out about a candidate, their platform, and what they need from you to help them win.

Learn more about Jamie Radtke here: http://radtkeforsenate.com/

Donate to Jamie Radtke: Contribute

Volunteer for Jamie Radtke: Get Involved

You can also email our AGU-VA State Coordinator Ken Elliton: virginia@organize4palin.com

Please do all you can to help send this reformer to the United States Senate.

It’s easy to participate in the Voter Bomb:

You can cut and paste the letter below into an email or simply forward this entire post to all your friends, family, co-workers, and church members in Virginia.

This is a copy of an e-mail sent by Richard Viguerie, Chairman of Conservative HQ

Dear fellow conservative,

I’m writing to ask that you join me in this “voter bomb” for Mrs. Jamie Radtke, the principled small-government, constitutional conservative candidate for U.S. Senate in Virginia’s Republican primary next Tuesday.

Richard Viguerie

What’s a “voter bomb?” You’ve probably heard of “money bombs” on behalf of candidates, where people are asked online to contribute money in a finite amount of time for some specific purpose. Well, we Virginians have a history of being the first at many things, and this is the first “voter bomb.” We’ve got a finite amount of time to spread the word to vote for Jamie Radtke in the Republican primary next Tuesday.

Jamie is my choice. Her principles are as solid as a rock, and she’s a boat rocker. She’s running to change how Washington does business.

I’m urging my fellow Virginia conservatives to not only vote for Jamie next Tuesday, but join this “voter bomb” by forwarding this email to your family and friends who live in Virginia.

Even if you don’t live in Virginia, please forward this to friends and family who are Virginia residents.

Conservatives in Virginia have a special obligation to show the Washington establishment that business as usual is over. After all, it was in 2009 — the first election after electing you-know-who in 2008 (who won in Virginia) — when conservatives swept Virginia’s statewide elections with Bob McDonnell, Ken Cuccinelli and Bill Bolling. It was Virginia that sent the first shockwaves to the cocky liberal political “intelligentsia” in 2009 before conservatives’ historic wins in the 2010 national elections.

In 2012, we need to show Washington and the political establishment that we are still fed up, and that we shall continue our assault to restore America to its promise.

Tuesday’s Republican primary in Virginia is an excellent example of what Ronald Reagan said in 1976, when he was running against the big-government Republican establishment of Gerald Ford, Nelson Rockefeller and Richard Nixon: “We need new leaders unfettered by old ties and old relationships.”

Jamie Radtke, the founder of the Virginia Tea Party Federation, is not a career politician. She is unfettered by old ties and old relationships to the forces of big government.

The 2012 election is not only about defeating Barack Obama, but continuing the momentum of 2010. In many of the 2012 Republican primaries so far, principled small-government conservatives have defeated high-spending big-government Republicans in the primaries.

This year, in Indiana it was Richard Mourdock defeating Dick Lugar. In Nebraska, small-government conservative Deb Fischer scored a last-minute upset over two favored rivals.

We’ve seen what can be done. In 2010 Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Ron Johnson and Pat Toomey overcame the political establishment and even strong opposition from big-government Republican senators to join the Jim DeMint “team” in the U.S. Senate.

There is no question: Jamie Radtke will be part of that team of principled conservatives in the Senate led by Senator DeMint.

Now, one of Jamie Radtke’s opponents in the Republican primary is George Allen, who lost his Senate seat in 2006 to Democrat Jim Webb, the critical 60th vote in the Senate for Obamacare. Jim Webb has voted the Obama line all the way through his five-plus years in the Senate.

George Allen was part of the high-spending Republican majority under George Bush. He voted for No Child Left Behind and the prescription drug bill. He was an earmarker.

I’ve yet to hear him admit that he did wrong, or say that he’s sorry for his high-spending record, and he certainly has not said he won’t do it again.

And, I challenge you to find one example of George Allen standing up to his high-spending Republican colleagues when he was in the Senate — for example the 52,000 earmarks that were passed on his watch.

There is an undeniable principle of human behavior: if you reward bad behavior, you’ll get more bad behavior.

Sending George Allen back to the U.S. Senate not only would be rewarding his bad. It’s sending a message to high-spending big-government Republicans: “You know all this work and effort we conservatives have done to elect principled small-government senators and representatives these past few years? Hey, we didn’t really mean it.”

When I speak with many of my conservative Virginia friends, I’m a bit concerned. They are fed up and all in favor of replacing big-government Republicans — in other states. Yet some of them are content with the affable George Allen. Unfortunately, they and other well-meaning conservatives haven’t realized that they’re sending the wrong message to politicians.

But George Allen’s loss in 2006 was the first sign that voters were fed up with high-spending Republicans. That was followed in 2008 by the election of Barack Obama, a House led by Nancy Pelosi, and a Senate headed by Harry Reid.

Sending George Allen back to the Senate will lose ground we’ve regained since 2009. It will be seen as an indication that grassroots conservatives aren’t serious, or at least aren’t consistent. The Washington establishment will point to an Allen victory as evidence that principled small-government conservatives are a weak voting bloc. We cannot let that happen. We must send them a message that the days of business as usual are over.

That’s why I’m asking you to join this “voter bomb” for Jamie Radtke. I urge you to vote for her in Tuesday’s Republican primary, and I urge you to forward my email to family and friends in Virginia.

Oh, and feel free to substitute your name for mine on this email.

This “voter bomb” doesn’t require a financial contribution, although Jamie and her campaign are worthy of your financial support.

And, to my conservative friends who know George Allen and are comfortable with him, I say this: if you like George Allen, you’ll love Jamie Radtke. Hands down, Jamie will do what George Allen won’t do, which is to join the DeMint team, be a boat-rocker, and roll back the size of government.

We must put saving our country ahead of personal allegiances to politicians.

Jamie Radtke won’t just limit the advance of socialism; she’ll help scale back ground we’ve lost to the forces of big government, cronyism, corruption and socialism. She is principled, tough, serious, and smart as a whip. She will join the side of Jim DeMint, Marco Rubio, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Ron Johnson and Pat Toomey in fighting against not only socialism, but big-government Republicans.

Please, while there’s still time, let’s join together to send the ruling class elites — including big-government Republicans — a message they can’t ignore.

Yours in freedom,

Richard Viguerie

P.S. Please forward this “voter bomb” right now. The primary election is just days away. It’s an interesting fact that most successful Tea Party candidates surge in the closing days of a campaign. So let’s get a surge going for our Tea Party candidate, Jamie Radtke.

P.P.S. Even though this is a “voter bomb,” I also encourage you to go to Jamie’s website at RadtkeforSenate.com where you can make a financial contribution for the primary election, and later for the general election.

This is my own message, and is not paid for by any political candidate or party committee.

He is known as the “Funding Father” of the Reagan Revolution and has endorsed Jamie Radtke for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.

AGU: An Open Letter to Coco Lederhosen (@conor64)

Dear Mr. Lederhosen,

Your readers trust you. For all their cynicism about politics, they believe that you’re different: not just another Venice Beach know-it-all with odd Bohemian ideas and a commitment to misinforming regular Americans. You’ve used that trust to ask homemakers, retirees and small businessmen and women to believe the obsessive nonsense and Obama propaganda you write.

Last summer when The Undefeated opened you deliberately misinformed your readers with an article about the film opening to empty theaters.

However.

On a per screen basis citizen activism helped The Undefeated hold it’s own against Harry Potter, The Transformers, and Winnie the Pooh.

Even the Los Angeles Times was so impressed by the ability to use practically no marketing money, they conceded:

This is a new model that is going to benefit the entire entertainment industry and audiences who want to see unique products

But this isn’t how you informed your trusted readers.

You wrote an article bragging that you spent the evening peeping on two teenagers making out in the back of an empty theater.

Only at the very end of your article did you inform your readers that this was a special midnight showing of the film prior to opening day.

Sure, you’ve written slightly true articles in the past. But you deliberately continue to mis-inform your trusted readers with half truths, distortions, and intentional perversions of reality.

Why would any reader trust you as a steward of honest information again?

Every single SarahPAC video is 100% related to fresh ideas and issues.

These fresh ideas and issue’s have inspired thousands of Americans to get involved in the political process and bring about real change.

In the 2010 election cycle alone concerned citizen activists inspired by Sarah Palin and the efforts of SarahPAC brought victory to over 67% of Governor Palin’s endorsed candidates.

Some of these include: 1 Secretary of State, 2 Attorney’s General, 6 Senators, 7 Governors, and 37 House Representatives.

That’s real change and that is why ordinary every day Americans are inspired by and donate to SarahPAC.

You lied to your readers by telling them that Sarah Palin went to Disney World on the donors dime. Failing to mention that Governor Palin was at the resort raising in excess of $900K for the Florida GOP (pretty impressive in a non election year) is misleading, dishonest, and deceptive to your readers.

FYI: with only $967.34 for lodging, that is a 1000% return on investment.

That is the truth. But you don’t seem to care about truth when it comes to your readers.

Did you think you’d get away with this just because the liberal media is curiously silent when unpopular movement writers shamelessly fleece the rank and file?

For the sake of your readers, please do not reply in writing.

Sincerely,

Thomas S Schmitz

Andrew Breitbart

Governor Palin today posted on Facebook:

We are all stunned and saddened by the news of Andrew Breitbart’s passing. Andrew was a warrior who stood on the side of what was right. He defended what was right. He defended the defenseless.

It is so sad to consider his four young children who have lost their dad. All our prayers are with his family now. May God comfort his wife and children.

Many of us will have life-long memories of our work or encounters with Andrew. May we draw on those to help forward the cause of fighting for what is right. For me, just one of those memories was in Pella, Iowa, last year after the premiere of “The Undefeated.” Andrew held court in the restaurant at the local hotel talking about his favorite topic: how “culture is upstream of politics” and how conservatives must be unafraid to fight the leftwing media, cultural, and political establishments. The loss of his voice in this fight will be deeply felt, but thankfully his work lives on at his “Bigs,” and thank God for his inspiration and leadership.

God bless you, Andrew. Rest in peace, friend. We will continue the fight.

O4P-CA: Californians Need a Sarah Palin

On August 26 – 27, 2011, I attended the California Young Republican Federation (CYRF) Inaugural Convention in San Francisco.  My purpose in attending was to meet fellow conservatives who have taken an active interest in seeking to restore California to its lost conservative heritage.  I also had the added objective of spreading the word about Organize4Palin’s activities in California.  I achieved both goals.  However, it was not the names of contacts I collected that weekend that stuck with me, but rather the crystallization of my beliefs that entrenched political operatives need to be rooted out of government and conservatives have to fight to achieve this end.

What made this convention different than other establishment political party events I have attended is the repetitive theme that overlapped the Saturday lunchtime speeches from three different speakers: California Republican Chairman Tom Del Beccaro, Hon. James Rogan, and Andrew Breitbart.  All three speeches seemed to indicate that the time for playing politics for the sake of playing politics must be long gone, and now is the time to stand on conservative principles and fight for what is right.  Since a San Francisco Chronicle reporter was in the room I feel that is safe to say that the comments of the speakers were not intended to stay in the room.

Since the passage of Proposition 11 and Proposition 20, Californians have been monitoring and petitioning the California Citizens’ Redistricting Commission to fairly and transparently redraw the California elected district lines.  The result has been far from fair or transparent, and the California Republican Party and Watch Dog and Tea Party groups in California have criticized the conflicts of interests of commission members and the lack of transparency employed by the Commission, indicating it has allegedly violated state law, in particular the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act, and possibly federal law.  Under Tom Del Beccaro’s chairmanship, the California Republican Party has strongly petitioned against the wrongdoings of the Commission.  One would think standing up for Californians in California would be a just and noble undertaking.  Yet, Mr. Del Beccaro indicated to those gathered at the CYRF Convention that he was losing supporters in Sacramento because of his strong stand in pointing out alleged violations of California law perpetrated by the Commission for which he has a team of lawyers considering legal action.  Why?  Well, apparently, there are some political officials who feel that while the proposed redistricting lines are not favorable for conservatives and there are serious legal concerns regarding the redistricting process the Commission’s lines are better than what the California Legislature would have drawn if it still had the task and it may not be worth taking a stand to ensure the Commission abides by California law.  Mr. Del Beccaro told the group at the CYRF Convention that he may not be as popular now in Sacramento because of his principled stand against the Commission’s actions, but he is going to fight for what is right for all Californians.

Hon. James Rogan also offered a similar tale of standing up and fighting for what is right and just in America.  Judge Rogan was a United States Congressman who represented the 27th District of California from January 1997 until January 2001.  In 1999, he was one of thirteen House Managers selected to prosecute the Impeachment Trial of President William Jefferson Clinton in the United States Senate.  Judge Rogan recently released Catching Our Flag, which documents the public and closed door wranglings of America’s political leaders during the Clinton impeachment trials.  Mr. Rogan’s story is for him to tell, but his message to the CYRF Convention attendees was clear:  When party politicians put politics ahead of justice and fail to defend the laws of the United States, then all Americans suffer.  According to Mr. Rogan, this is exactly what happened during the Senate Impeachment Trial of President Clinton.  Public opinion polls apparently mattered more than upholding justice.   Mr. Rogan’s Closing Argument in the Impeachment Trial of President William Jefferson Clinton (February 8, 1999) best summarizes what he strongly conveyed to the CYRF Convention attendees:

“The pundits keep telling me that my stand on this issue puts my political fortunes in jeopardy.  So be it.  That revelation produces from me no flinching.  There is a simple reason why: I know that in life dreams come and dreams go, but conscience is forever.  I can live with the concept of not serving in Congress.  I cannot live with the idea of remaining in Congress at the expense of doing what I believe to be right.”

Those who have heard Andrew Breitbart speak know he is an impassioned and a no-holds-bar speaker.  Last Saturday afternoon he was no exception.   Mr. Breitbart lambasted establishment Republicans for their failure to stand up against the lies and smears perpetrated by the Left against conservatives in the Tea Party, particularly Sarah Palin who was maliciously libeled and slandered following the Gabrielle Giffords’ shooting in Tuscon, Arizona.   He gave a full-throated defense of Governor Palin and her role in fighting to restore conservativism in America after she was picked to be the Republican Vice-Presidential nominee in 2008.  He also chastised Republican elites for their snobbery regarding the Tea Party.  Being on the frontlines of a conservative revolution in America, Mr. Breitbart bluntly warned CYRF members and California Republican Party leaders in the room that if they were not willing to embrace and work with the Tea Party then the Republican Party would be “nothing”.  The purpose of his speech was to stick a stake in the heart of those Republican elites who continue to want to play politics for appearances’ sake rather than stand and fight for conservative principles.

On August 24, 2011, the day before I made the long drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco through the Central Valley, past the fallow farm fields resulting from misplaced government priorities, I read an interesting comment by Conservative Blogger Dan Riehl: “[I]f the [conservative] movement is to truly be re-energized and move forward from something it’s been for decades – something already bound up in Washington – it may take a Sarah Palin to move forward along that path.” Listening to Sarah Palin’s speech from Indianola, Iowa and reflecting upon the speeches I heard at the CYRF Convention, I am struck by the truth of Mr. Riehl’s statement:  It will take a Sarah Palin – someone who is committed to fighting the status quo of entrenched politicians and the backroom deals between politicians, establishment powerbrokers and corporate lobbyists – to re-energize the conservative movement in California.  But more than that, it will take Sarah Palin to be the leader of this movement. This is because everything I heard last weekend indicated to me that there are still those establishment types who do not seem to get it, as Sarah Palin has said, and they are only looking to determine what is in it for them.

The Undefeated, which was released on pay-per-view and movie-on-demand on September 1, 2011, documents Governor Palin’s record of fighting corporate cronyism, government corruption, and the entrenched party machinery in Alaska in order to achieve real government reform for her constituents.   Throughout her time in public office Sarah Palin has proven that she “is not for sale” and she is willing to fight for the little guy.  As Palin indicated, and we Californians know, “America is at a tipping point” and we have to be willing to stand up and fight for all that is good and right in America.  We know in our gut that it is not “enough to just change up the uniform [because] [i]f we don’t change the team and the game plan, we won’t save our country.”   That is why we – California conservatives – must be willing to withstand the slanders, the slurs, and the insults, which are going to be thrown our way by the Left and the establishment elites, and continue to fight for the fundamental restoration of our state.  We must continue to speak up for what is right and just in California and the United States regardless of the political pressures urging us to shut up.  More importantly, we must support leaders who show courage and take principled stands to ensure conservative values are not tread upon.
